AT TIME OF TEMPLATE – D & K will have someone come to your job site to template for your new countertops.  If your design includes any special shaped counters, bar tops, islands, etc. please have someone at your job site at the time of the template to explain the design to our employee and to approve the template.  Please have any sinks that are to be under mounted at the job site so we can bring them back to our shop, if they have not been delivered to us by this time.  Also, we will need to know how many holes you would like to have drilled for your faucets and where you would like to have them placed.  If you have not gone over this information with your sales person please give this information to our employee doing the templating.

AT TIME OF INSTALLATION – If this is a new construction please see that your drop in cook top (if applicable) is at the job site on the day of installation.  It would also be appreciated if the dish washer is on site on the day of installation so that we can attach it to the countertop.  If you have any drop in sinks that were not taken to our shop please see that these are also on site the day of the installation (we will cut the holes for the drop in sinks and drop in cook tops but we do not actually install these items).  If you have a bar top or counter overhang that will require brackets please be sure these brackets are attached before we come to install your countertops.

If this is a remodel please be aware that we will tear out your existing counters at no additional.
charge.  Please be sure that all items are cleared off of the top of the counters and that you have cleared out the cabinets beneath the sink and the drop in cook top (if applicable).  You do not need to clean out any of the other cabinets or the drawers.  We will cut the holes for the drop in sinks and drop in cook tops but we do not actually install these items.  We will install all under mounted sinks, however we do not do any plumbing or electrical so someone else will need to hookup the sinks and the cook top.  Please make sure that no one works on the sinks for 24 hours after they are installed.  This time is needed for the glue that holds the sink to set up.  Please be sure to have your dish washer on site at the time of the installation so that we can attach it to the bottom of our counter.   If you have a bar top or counter overhang that will require brackets please be sure these brackets are attached before we come to install your countertops.
